This half-day introductory course aims to provide members with an in-depth knowledge of the settlement system for transaction agreements, including the ACAS Code of Conduct for Transaction Agreements and the ACAS Guidelines. For the settlement agreement to be legally binding, the worker must use independent legal advice to understand the terms of the agreement and the consequences of signing it. Once signed by both parties, it is open (i.e. more „off the record“ in the context of a negotiation without prejudice) and is binding.
